Seeing AI

Hands-Free Pilot

Since Seeing AI first launched, one of the top customer requests has been a way to use Seeing AI hands-free. You're holding your white cane or guide dog; or need both hands to hold something you're scanning - ideally you wouldn't need to use one hand to position the phone.

We are launching a pilot to explore what such hands-free experiences could be like, along with a small group of customers.

The first device we are supporting is the ARx (pronounced arcs) headset. This is a pair of bone conduction headphones with a camera. It plugs into the USB-C port of any Android device, and Seeing AI will automatically open. You can lock the phone and put it back in your pocket, as you can use physical buttons on the side of the headset to control Seeing AI.

ARx can be purchased from the Royal National Institute for Blind People (RNIB) in the UK, or directly from the ARx website.

If you purchase ARx, and would like to get access to a version of Seeing AI that supports the device, please fill in the form below.
